2014 – 30th Anniversary- More then “Three Decades” of
Making a Difference for Latino students

Thank you for your interest.  We hope that our website helps
you in  your pursuit of getting a higher education.

BECA believes that every San Diego County Latino high school graduate who has the desire to attend an institution of higher learning, be provided an opportunity. Education is often tied to finances. Through financial support and mentoring, BECA encourages and empowers aspiring Latino students to pursue their goals.  This enables the strengthening of students for lives of purpose, service and leadership in our communities,  as well as, contribute to the prosperity of our Nation.

David G. Martinez left this world with peace and dignity on March 16, 2014. He lived life with conviction, integrity, and honor.

While David’s passing leaves an enormous hole in the lives of many who loved and appreciated him, none will miss him more than his children, his wife, and his grandchildren.

The BECA Foundation appreciates his leadership, his dedication and helping us keep the vision alive through the years. As we celebrate 30 years of granting scholarships to over 800 deserving students we want to take a moment to remember those who have left us and guided us… We dedicate our 30th year to David G. Martinez, Ray Chavez (deceased 2013), and Edward and Mary Currivan, among others.
